  2. We have been to 4 states so far. We started in Seattle, Washington and traveled to Mt. Rainier. After a day of hiking we spent the night at a hotel. Then we went to the Cascade Mountains and camped. Jennifer almost set the mountains on fire trying to light the campfire. The we drove to Crater Lake. It was so beautiful. I"ll send pictures later. Elizabeth pushed Jennifer in the lake. Then we drove on as far as Pocatello, Idaho. We spent the night and went to bed early so we could leave early in the morning. Today we made it to Yellowstone National Park. We saw waterfalls and geyers. Old Faithful was cool. Everything was so beautiful.

Especially when you realize the young boys who made these trips had to outrun angry Indians, thieves, outlaws, and wild animals to reach the next post. They rode through some of the most rugged areas of the United States to deliver the mail.
